Orthopedic Surgery Physician Opening in Kilmarnock, VALocation: Kilmarnock, VA - Richmond 70mEmployment Type: Full-time, permanent positionPosition Type: Employed, Hospital-Affiliated Practice Position OverviewSeeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Orthopedic Surgeon to join an expanding orthopedic practice in Virginia's Northern Neck region. The role offers the opportunity to practice in a supportive, patient-centered environment with strong hospital alignment and surgical access.The position includes both operative and non-operative management of orthopedic conditions while serving a well-established referral base. Qualifications / Candidate Requirements MD or DO from an accredited medical school Completion of Orthopedic Surgery residency Board Certified or Board Eligible in Orthopedic Surgery Fellowship training in a subspecialty such as joint replacement, sports medicine, or trauma preferred Ability to obtain a Virginia medical license Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to patient-centered care and service excellence Position Highlights / Opportunity Highlights Monday-Friday outpatient schedule (8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) Comprehensive orthopedic care including sports injuries, fractures, arthritis, and musculoskeletal conditions Mix of non-operative treatments and advanced surgical procedures Established referral network within a regional health system Specialty orthopedic and sports medicine practice serving the Northern Neck community Practice located adjacent to hospital for convenient surgical access Compensation & Benefits Competitive base salary plus annual productivity and quality metric bonus 32 days of annual paid time off $10,000 relocation reimbursement Comprehensive benefits package including: Medical, dental, vision, and prescription coverage Flexible Spending Accounts (FSAs) Company-paid life insurance (2x base salary) Short- and long-term disability coverage 403(b) retirement plan with employer match Malpractice coverage with tail Virginia license and DEA fees covered CME allowance Practice / Program Details Hospital-aligned orthopedic practice with strong surgical access Established referral base from regional primary care and specialty providers Access to modern inpatient and outpatient services including oncology, rehabilitation, and therapy programs Recognized stroke care program and diverse clinical services supporting comprehensive patient care Community OverviewKilmarnock is a picturesque waterfront community located in Virginia's Northern Neck region.
