Job Summary and Responsibilities
As our part-time, board-certified Orthopedic Trauma Surgeon to provide hospitalist coverage to practice at our award winning St. Joseph Hospital in Tacoma, Washington. St. Joseph is a 385 bed Level II Trauma Center and serves as the flagship tertiary trauma care facility.
This pivotal role offers a unique opportunity for a dedicated Orthopedic Hospitalist Trauma Surgeon to join our dynamic team. The position entails providing comprehensive 24-hour coverage for 7 days within a 28-day cycle, accumulating to an annual commitment of 13 weeks.
Everyday you will work a schedule is meticulously designed to ensure a balanced workload while guaranteeing consistent, high-quality patient care.
To be fully successful in this role, you will be fully supported by a skilled and collaborative team, including two dedicated physician assistants who will work in tandem to optimize efficiency and extend the reach of care. This collaborative model fosters a supportive environment, allowing the surgeon to focus on complex cases and critical decision-making, while the physician assistants provide essential assistance with patient management, pre- and post-operative care, and routine follow-ups. The integrated approach of this position underscores our commitment to providing seamless and exemplary orthopedic trauma services.

Compensation:
Compensation Range: $391,512 - $391,512 /year (this includes b ase salary, with additional productivity incentive and excess call coverage pay)
The posted compensation range is a reasonable estimation in which CommonSpirit in good faith believes it might pay for this particular job, based on the circumstances at the time of posting. CommonSpirit may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range as permitted by law.
Job Requirements
Required:
Medical Degree
Board Certified in Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS)
5 years experience after training with stable work history
WA medical license (active/good standing) prior to start date
DEA (active/no restrictions)

Pay Range
$391,511 - $391.512 /hour
