It is a 295-bed hospital that provides training, primary care, and sub-specialty health care in numerous medical areas for eligible Veterans. It is also a Joint Commission-accredited, level 1a complexity teaching hospital, providing tertiary-level care.

EDRP Authorized: This position is eligible for an education debt reduction program (a student loan payment reimbursement program)
Benefits and Compensation:
Pay: $325,000 - $400,000/per year
Annual performance bonus, and regular salary increases.
Paid Time Off: 50-55 days annually, including:
26 days of annual leave
13 days of sick leave
11 paid Federal holidays
Up to 5 days paid absence for CME
Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% contributions by VA.
Insurance: Comprehensive federal health, vision, dental, term life, and long-term care insurance (many programs can be carried into retirement).
Licensure: 1 full and unrestricted license from any US State or territory.
CME: Possible $1,000 per year reimbursement (must be full-time with board certification).
Malpractice: Free liability protection with tail coverage provided.
Contract: No Physician Employment Contract and no significant restrictions on moonlighting.
