Chesapeake, VA $95,700 - $114,900 a year

Job Responsibilities

Create Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess patients' needs, develop personalized therapy strategies aimed at helping them achieve their goals

Implement Evidence-Based Interventions: Employ scientifically supported techniques to boost patients' motor abilities, cognitive functions, and everyday tasks

Collaborate with Multidisciplinary Teams: Engage with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, medical practitioners, and nurses to deliver thorough and well-rounded patient care

Educate Patients and Families: Guide patients and caregivers on effective therapy methods to sustain progress in their home environments

Monitor Progress and Adjust Plans: Track patient outcomes and modify therapies as necessary, ensuring consistent growth and improvement

Qualifications

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution

Continuing education or advanced certifications are highly encouraged and supported

Licenses & Certifications

Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license is required

Certification from the NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) is essential
