Job Responsibilities
Develop Tailored Treatment Plans: Assess individuals' needs and craft specialized therapy strategies to help them meet their functional objectives
Implement Evidence-Based Interventions: Apply proven techniques to boost patients' motor skills, cognitive function, and daily activities
Engage with Multidisciplinary Teams: Work closely with fellow OTs, PTs, STs, doctors, and nurses to provide comprehensive, integrated care
Educate Patients and Families: Instruct patients and caregivers on therapeutic methods to encourage continued progress outside of therapy
Assess and Document Progress: Monitor treatment outcomes and modify plans as necessary to keep patients on track
Qualifications
Degree in Occupational Therapy from an accredited institution
Opportunities for ongoing education and professional certifications supported and encouraged
Certifications
Active Occupational Therapist (OTR/L) license
NBCOT (National Board for Certification in Occupational Therapy) certification is required
