Join our healthcare team as a Locum Tenens Otolaryngologist (ENT Physician) at a prestigious Level I Academic Trauma Center in New York. This locum tenens ENT job offers flexible call coverage, a mix of consults and emergent surgical procedures, and the opportunity to work in a collaborative environment.
Otolaryngology Job Details Employment Type: Locum tenens physician (travel contract)
Location: Staten Island, NY
Facility: Academic Level I Trauma Center
Start Date: April 1, 2026
Schedule: 40 hours per week; 5 shifts/week, 8-hour days
Call Coverage: Options for 24-hour at-home call (7am 7am) or night call only (5pm 7am); provider is at home and comes in when called
Patient Population: Adult and pediatric ENT cases
EMR System: Meditech
Otolaryngologist Qualifications Active New York medical license
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Otolaryngology (ENT Physician)
Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in Otolaryngology/ENT
Skilled in managing both adult and pediatric ENT cases
Proficient in emergent ENT procedures
Fellowship training not required
Temporary privileges available for expedited onboarding
ENT Physician Responsibilities Provide consults for in-house patients, including floors and ED post-op follow-ups
Respond to call-backs and provide scheduled coverage
Perform a full range of ENT procedures, including:Epistaxis control
Abscess drainage
Facial trauma repair
Tonsillectomy/Adenoidectomy
Tracheostomy
Sinus surgery
Head & Neck procedures
Take patients to the OR for emergent ENT cases
Collaborate with hospital staff, including anesthesia (available 24/7) and surgical PA support overnight
Schedule OR cases as needed (shared responsibility with hospital)
Participate in ED consults as required
