Job Description
As the Out-Of-School Time (OOS) Group Leader, you will work under the site director’s supervision. Your primary responsibilities include ensuring the safety and well‑being of a group of children aged five to twelve, designing engaging activities to encourage learning and play, providing a positive environment, assisting with snack preparation, homework help, and general cleaning duties. You will work a minimum of three hours a day, fifteen to twenty hours per week, and will maintain a flexible schedule for teacher workdays, school closures, and breaks.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist the director with snack preparation
Ensure safety measures are met daily
Encourage positive behavior and empower students
Assist students with homework
Perform general cleaning duties in the classroom
Create and implement engaging activities with students
Provide a positive environment for students
Design lesson plans with active outdoor activities and hands‑on classroom activities
Maintain a flexible schedule for teacher workdays, school closures, and spring/winter breaks
Minimum Training & Experience
18 years of age
CPR/First Aid Certified, preferred or willing to obtain
BSAC Certified, or willing to obtain
