Job description
Temporary Grounds Maintenance WorkerPay Rate: $20.50 Per HourSupports the upkeep, cleanliness, and appearance of the company's manufacturing campus and groundsDuration: TemporaryResponsibilities:Maintain the cleanliness and appearance of the exterior grounds, parking lots, sidewalks, entrances, and common outdoor areasPick up litter, debris, and trash throughout the campus on a daily basisEmpty outdoor trash receptacles and transport waste to designated collection areasAssist with seasonal and weather-related clean-up, including leaves, snow, storm debris, and other environmental conditionsConduct routine inspections of outdoor areas and report safety hazards, damage, or maintenance concerns to managementSupport general grounds upkeep, including sweeping, power washing, and basic landscaping activities as assignedAssist with facility clean-up projects in manufacturing and office areas as neededPerform basic painting, touch-up work, and minor repair tasks under supervisionMove equipment, furniture, materials, and supplies as directedAssist the Facilities and Maintenance teams with general labor projects and department support activitiesFollow all company safety procedures and maintain a safe work environmentAssemble devices received in kit form such as furniture and shelving unitsProvide support and back up for other members of the department as needed by leadershipPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:High School Diploma or GED from an accredited institutionAbility to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsLegally authorized to work in the US without company sponsorshipMinimum of one (1) year of experience in drywall, repair & painting AND/OR minimum of one (1) year of experience in HVAC maintenanceMust be a U.S. person as per ITAR regulationsPosition Criteria:Ability to work independently and follow directionsReliable attendance and punctualityComplies with all national and local safety and environmental standards, guidelines and policiesAbility to proactively work with other team members under limited supervisionAbility to comprehend and follow technical standards and maintenance proceduresKnowledge of operating lift truck, material handling equipment, man lifts and hand toolsFlexibility in shift work may be required to perform work at times when weather is cooler and areas are not occupiedAbility to lift 35 lbs.Preferred Skills:Previous experience in grounds maintenance, janitorial services, landscaping, facilities support, or general laborExperience using hand tools, power washers, lawn equipment, or similar maintenance equipmentPhysical Requirements:Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditionsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workdayAbility to frequently bend, stoop, reach, and perform physical laborAbility to lift and carry up to 35 pounds regularly and heavier items with assistanceAbility to safely operate basic hand tools and maintenance equipmentWork Environment:Manufacturing and industrial campus environmentWork performed primarily outdoors with occasional indoor assignmentsExposure to varying weather conditions, noise, dust, and industrial environmentsPersonal protective equipment (PPE) must be worn as required
