Job DescriptionOutpatient Adult Psychiatrist – Troy, NY
\ NPosition Overview:
\ NWe are seeking a full-time Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist to join a highly regarded Behavioral Health program in Troy, New York. This is an excellent opportunity to become part of a collaborative, physician-friendly environment with strong clinical support and an established interdisciplinary team.
\ NThe psychiatrist will provide outpatient psychiatric care to adult patients within a comprehensive behavioral health program. The team includes psychiatrists, nurse practitioners, therapists, counselors, and case managers who work together to provide compassionate, patient-centered treatment.
\ NPosition Details:
\ N Full-time Outpatient Adult Psychiatry position
\ N Location: Troy, NY
\ N Provide psychiatric care for adult patients in an outpatient mental health setting
\ N Join a collaborative team of behavioral health professionals
\ N Immediate placement available
\ N Call Rotation: 1:6 weekends and 1:7 weeknights
\ N Job Responsibilities:
\ NThe Outpatient Adult Psychiatrist will:
\ N Provide comprehensive psychiatric evaluations, diagnosis, and treatment for adult patients
\ N Manage medicationtreatment and ongoing psychiatric care using evidence-based practices
\ N Collaborate with therapists, counselors, case managers, and advanced practice providers
\ N Develop individualized treatment plans to support patient mental health needs
\ N Participate in scheduled weekend and weeknight call coverage
\ N Support quality improvement initiatives and clinical excellence
\ N Maintain CME requirements and participate in ongoing professional development
\ N Candidate Requirements:
\ N Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible in Psychiatry (Required)
\ N Active New York Medical License or willingness to obtain
\ N DEA registration required prior to start date
\ N Clean malpracticehistory highly preferred
\ N Must not require visa sponsorship
\ N Recent NPDB Self Query Report (within 30 days) required at submission
\ N Outpatient psychiatric experience preferred
\ N Candidates with lapsed Board Certification will not be accepted
\ N Not accepting Locum candidates
\ N Compensation & Benefits:
\ N Base salaryrange: $318,449 – $354,957 annually (based on experience)
\ N $25,000 signing bonus
\ N $30,000 retentionbonus
