Job description
Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist - Part Time
The Outpatient Behavioral Health Therapist provides compassionate, patient-centered behavioral health services (groups and 1:1) to support the mental and emotional well-being of patients across the hospital and community. This position works collaboratively with providers and interdisciplinary teams to deliver therapeutic interventions, coordinate care, and promote positive patient outcomes through assessment, counseling, education, and discharge planning.
Status: Part-Time; Days; Non-Exempt
Market Range: $28.00 - $46.00 / hour depending on applicable licensure, certification and years of relevant experience.
Education
Master's degree in Counseling, Social Work, Psychology, or related Behavioral Health field
Previous clinical experience in behavioral health preferred
Experience working with geriatric or adult populations preferred
Licensure/Certification
Current Illinois LSW, LCSW, LCPC, LMFT, or equivalent licensure required (or ability to obtain within designated timeframe)
Current BLS certification required or willingness to obtain within 6 months of hire
Competencies and Skills
Strong communication, interpersonal, and collaboration skills
Ability to provide individual and group therapeutic interventions
Knowledge of behavioral health assessment, treatment planning, and crisis intervention
Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation
Ability to work effectively within an interdisciplinary healthcare environment
Commitment to patient confidentiality, safety, and professional ethics
