Job description
Outpatient Clinic CoordinatorResponsible for accurately organizing the office operations for Outpatient Clinic, Meadowlands Cardiology PC and Employee Health.Greet patients and visitors in a courteous and friendly manner.Coordinate care throughout patient visit (lab, ekg, radiology)Maintains ability to quickly assess and respond appropriately to emergency situations.Answer phone calls courteously, and take clear and concise phone messagesMonitors and responds to all emails throughout the day regarding incoming patient referralsOrganize surgical dates, schedule and confirm appointments dailyAccurately register all patients including insurance verificationObtain Letters of Protection (LOP's) from attorneys when necessaryCreate new patient consent packets and chartsPrepare charts/transportation list for the next dayMaintain order and deliver charts to medical records timelyType correspondence, reports, memos, and forms as requested by physiciansComplies to all job functions within required time framesSend fax requests for outside recordsOther responsibilities assigned by supervisor as deemed necessaryEDUCATION + EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:H.S.Diploma, college degree in related field preferred.Previous experience in a hospital setting in the Registration/Admission Department preferred.CREDENTIALS + QUALIFICATIONS:Excellent computer skillsKnowledge of Insurance and Insurance Verification ProcessKnowledge of EMR, CareVue, MediTech
