Come be with us.Job Description:The Role: Outpatient Practice Coding SupervisorThe Opportunity: MaineGeneral Health is seeking a Outpatient Practice Coding Supervisor to join our team! This position will be responsible for oversight of practice coding.The Work:Supervises daily staff activities for an assigned area or function in HIMDetermines, coordinates and supervises daily staffing assignments and levelsProvides direction, orientation, training, coaching, and mentoring to staffPerforms or assists with performance evaluations and disciplinary actionsAssesses quality of services delivered and facilitates staff development programsEnsures staff compliance with departmental and organizational policies, procedures, and protocolsPerforms staff responsibilities as needed to fulfill required service levelsLeads the handling and resolution of complex issues and complaintsYou Have:Hands-on experience leading a teamProficient with Microsoft Office SuiteStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, and support skillsStrong attention to detailAssociate's degree in Health Information Management preferredCertification by the American Health Information Management Association (AHIMA) or by the American Academy of Professional Coders (AAPC) preferredPrevious HIM experience is strongly desiredCompensation Information:$27.55 - $48.21The hourly pay range shown represents the base pay range for this position. Individual pay is determined based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, and market considerations. In addition to base pay, eligible team members may earn additional compensation through shift, weekend, holiday, on-call, and other applicable differentials.
