Responsibilities
Longstanding nonprofit human services agency with a reputation for supporting veterans and individuals and families faced with a wide range of challenges – mental illness, intellectual/developmental disabilities, and HIV/AIDS, often compounded by histories of homelessness, substance abuse, poverty and unemployment – is seeking a BE/BC Psychiatrist who will:
Lead their Brooklyn-based ACT Team
Provide psychiatric assessment, medical assessment, and treatment
Have overall clinical responsibility for monitoring the treatment of participants
Develop, maintain, and supervise medication administration
Provide clinical supervision, education, and training of ACT Team personnel
Qualifications
BE/BC Psychiatrist
Experience in ACT and/or community mental health settings preferred
Ability to lead a multidisciplinary team and coordinate comprehensive care
Schedule & Benefits
Work 4 days per week, typically 9-5. Could be 5 days per week if candidate prefers. Excellent salary, full benefits, and generous paid time off.
