Overview
nThe Department of Neurology is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant/Associate tojoin our stroke team.
nThis position is based at Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) located in Lebanon, NH. DHMC is New Hampshire’s only Level 1 trauma center and serves over 2 million people throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. DHMC was named New Hampshire’s Best Hospital ) byU.S. News & World Reportand is certified for advanced stroke care by The Joint Commission.
nOverview:
nnnOutpatient position
n
nnNo nights, weekends, or call
n
nnCollaborate with other APPs, neurologists, fellows, residents, and medical students
n
nnPerform comprehensive neurological evaluations and follow-up visits
n
nnProvide patient education on diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive strategies
n
nnAcademic appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College
n
n nRequirements:
nnnNational certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant/Associate
n
nnAbility to obtain/maintain licensure in New Hampshire and Vermont
n
nnAt least two years of clinical experience
n
nnDemonstrated interest in neurology
n
nnExcellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills
n
