Job description
The Department of Neurology is looking for an experienced Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant/Associate to join our stroke team.
This position is based at Dartmouth‑Hitchcock Medical Center (DHMC) located in Lebanon, NH. DHMC is New Hampshire’s only Level 1 trauma center and serves over 2 million people throughout New Hampshire and Vermont. DHMC was named New Hampshire’s Best Hospital (2025‑2026) by U.S. News & World Report and is certified for advanced stroke care by The Joint Commission.
Overview
Outpatient position
No nights, weekends, or call
Collaborate with other APPs, neurologists, fellows, residents, and medical students
Perform comprehensive neurological evaluations and follow-up visits
Provide patient education on diagnosis, treatment options, and preventive strategies
Academic appointment at the Geisel School of Medicine at Dartmouth College
Requirements
National certification as a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant/Associate
Ability to obtain/maintain licensure in New Hampshire and Vermont
At least two years of clinical experience
Demonstrated interest in neurology
Excellent communication, interpersonal, and clinical skills
