Therapist Position
Valeo Resources has partnered with a community mental health organization. We are currently seeking candidates for a full-time Therapist to join the team in Gloversville, NY.
The therapist position includes providing individual, family, and group therapy for our clients who range in age from 5 years and up. On-site medical providers work in collaboration with therapists to ensure clients' best understand their mental health, medication, and individual treatment plans.
Schedule: 40-hr work week scheduled Monday-Friday during hours of operation
Ideal candidates for the position will have the following:
New York State licensed LMHC, LMSW, LCSW, LCSW-R preferred
MSW & MHC candidates will be considered
Minimum of two (2) years of professional mental health experience preferred
Excellent clinical skills with the ability to treat all DSM 5 mental health disorders in a manner consistent with ethical and proven therapy techniques
Cleared and maintain verification under mandated criminal background screenings for all Federal and State Agency regulations
Patience, empathy, and strong desire to help others with an understanding of socio-economic factors in client care
Strong computer skills and ability to effectively complete electronic health records (EHR), including required OMH documentation, safety, and treatment plans
