Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP/FNP) – Outpatient OB/GYN Plattsburgh, New York

A well-established healthcare system in upstate New York is seeking a full-time Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner to join a collaborative outpatient OB/GYN practice. This is an excellent opportunity to work alongside experienced OB/GYN physicians, certified nurse midwives, and a strong clinical support team in a patient-centered women’s health setting.

Plattsburgh is located in the scenic Champlain Valley region of upstate New York, offering access to Lake Champlain, the Adirondack Mountains, and outdoor recreation year-round. The area provides an excellent quality of life with a welcoming community, affordable cost of living, and convenient access to Montreal, Burlington, and Albany.

Practice Setting:

This outpatient women’s health practice provides comprehensive OB/GYN care to a diverse patient population. The team-based model emphasizes collaboration, continuity of care, and evidence-based clinical practice in a supportive and well-resourced environment.

Position Highlights

Full-time outpatient Women’s Health NP role

Provide comprehensive women’s health care including preventive visits, prenatal/postpartum care, contraception counseling, and management of gynecologic conditions

Perform in-office procedures such as Pap/HPV testing, IUD/implant insertion and removal, and endometrial biopsies

Work closely with OB/GYN physicians, midwives, nurses, and medical assistants in a collaborative care model

Focus on patient education, continuity of care, and quality improvement initiatives

Utilize EMR for documentation and care coordination

Candidate Profile

Nurse Practitioner with MSN or DNP and active New York license

National board certification required (WHNP preferred; FNP with strong women’s health experience considered)

Experience in outpatient OB/GYN or women’s health strongly preferred

Comfortable performing common women’s health procedures and managing diverse patient needs

Strong communication skills and team-oriented approach

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive salary range: $125,000 – $155,000 based on experience
