nJob Title: Outreach Ambassador
nPay Range: $31.25 to $31.25 per hour (Weekly Pay & Pay Advance Before Pay Day!)
nShift/Schedule:
nnMon. Fri. from 7:30am to 4:00pm
n nValid Driver's License REQUIRED
n3-5 years of Social Work/Outreach background
nMUST have the ability to work w/unhoused community members comfortably

nWhat You'll Be Doing :
nnnFrequently canvass the zone to interact with and seek out the homeless/unhoused on the streets to build relationships of trust with a "compassion first" approach.
n
nnDirect those in public spaces to services or more suitable locations.
n
nnHave a strong understanding of the variety of social services available to persons in need within their community, and suggest the right services to those who are ready to help themselves. Direct them to services and agencies to meet their needs.
n
nnRespond when merchants or visitors request engagement with someone who may be in need to help de-escalate and redirect their activities.
n
nnEstablish relationships with agencies that are in place to respond to the needs of the homeless. Strive toward a cooperative effort to make a positive impact on the unsheltered in your zone.
n
nnProviding small comfort items, such as water, toiletries, or other similar items.
n
nnMust be able to complete basic daily reports of tasks completed, which requires being proficient in speaking, reading, and writing the English language.

nRequirements:
nnnHigh school diploma or GED required. Associates degree preferred.
n
nnOne year of community outreach or social services experience required.
n
nnMust have the physical capacity to ride a bike continuously during an eight-hour shift, with two 15-minute breaks and a 30-minute lunch break
n
nnMust be at least 18 years of age.
n
nnMust be able to work outdoors in all conditions (free uniforms provided)
n
nnMust be able to speak, read, and write the English language in order to create basic reports.
