Qualifications:
Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair marine mechanical systems and equipment.
Disassemble, inspect, repair, and reassemble pumps, valves, compressors, gearboxes, heat exchangers, and propulsion components.
Perform precision alignment of shafts, bearings, engines, and associated machinery.
Conduct equipment measurements using precision tools such as micrometers, calipers, dial indicators, and laser alignment equipment.
Read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, schematics, and manufacturer specifications.
Perform machining, fitting, grinding, and fabrication tasks as required.
Assist with dry-dock and shipboard maintenance projects.
Troubleshoot hydraulic, pneumatic, and mechanical systems.
