Job description
Job TitleResponsible for the Inspection of product sent to Outside manufacturers and inspection of internal sheet metal fabrication by performing the following duties.Duties and ResponsibilitiesVerifies incoming products to ensure products are per purchase order, and/or work order and customer requirements.Performs hardness and conductivity readings per customer requirements.Reads engineering and understands drawing requirements and general configuration requirements.Performs first part buy off and in process buy off for Sheet metal parts. Including inspection of deburred parts, formed parts, & flat pattern parts.Ability to use Mylar's, height gauge, pin gauge, micrometers, and other measuring devices.Ensures work orders and purchase orders are filled out completely and that all quantities are correct.Ensures all certifications are correct and legible.Records deviations from specifications and drawing requirements on a Non-conformance report.Responsible to be familiar with the use and navigation of Net Inspect to perform First Article Inspections.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The employee is occasionally required to stand, walk, sit, climb or balance, and stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, depth perception, ability to adjust focus, and ability to see color.Work EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is exposed to a shop environment. The employee is occasionally exposed to work near moving mechanical parts, fumes or airborne particles, toxic or caustic chemicals, and risk of electrical shock. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud.
