We approach every day with one goal: To improve the lives we touch through high-quality healthcare and extraordinary compassion.Why work for us?Caring and compassionate environmentOpportunity for growth, success, and longevityCome join employees who have become family!Supportive Management teamBenefits of Caregiver/Support Staff:Beautiful work environmentCompetitive Wages and Benefit PackageFlexible SchedulePaid Time OffOvertime PayResponsibilities of Caregiver/Support Staff:Assist residents with activities of daily living, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.Provide assistance with mobility, transfers, and positioning to ensure residents' safety and comfort.Administer medications and assist with medication management under the supervision of licensed nursing staff.Monitor residents' health and well-being, reporting any changes or concerns to the appropriate personnel.Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions to promote socialization and mental stimulation.Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents, including resident rooms, common areas, and dining areas.Provide emotional support and companionship to residents, fostering a caring and supportive atmosphere.Caregiver/Support Staff Requirements:Experience as caregiver or support staff is a plus.Incorporating Harm Reduction, Informed Trauma Training and De-escalation techniques.Prior involvement in caregiving or support roles, ideally within environments such as homeless shelters or comparable settings.Demonstrated strong interpersonal and communication abilities, coupled with a compassionate and non-judgmental demeanor.Compassionate and empathetic attitude towards individuals from diverse backgrounds, including the underserved individuals.Capacity to effectively collaborate within a team dynamic and navigate challenging scenarios with sensitivity and tact.Horizon Center San Diego is an equal opportunity employer and makes employment decisions on the basis of merit.
