Make a Difference OvernightLooking for steady overnight work where you can make a meaningful difference?Boston Higashi School is hiring Overnight Awake Instructors to support students with autism in our residential program. You do not need a degree or previous special education experience to apply. We provide training and ongoing support to help you succeed.This is a great opportunity for someone who is dependable, patient, caring, and interested in gaining experience in special education, human services, behavioral health, residential care, or direct support work.What You'll DoAs an Overnight Awake Instructor, you will help provide a safe, calm, and supportive environment for students throughout the night and help them prepare for the day ahead.Responsibilities include:Remain awake and alert throughout the overnight shiftComplete student safety checks every 15 minutesSupport students with personal care and daily living routinesHelp students prepare for breakfast and their transition to the school dayMaintain a safe, structured, and comfortable residential environmentDocument overnight activities, student needs, and important informationCommunicate with overnight, residential, and day program staffAssist students with clothing, belongings, and room organizationBuild positive and respectful relationships with studentsParticipate in required training, meetings, and professional developmentFollow student plans, safety procedures, and school policiesWho We're Looking ForYou may be a great fit if you are:Dependable and able to maintain a consistent overnight schedulePatient, compassionate, and comfortable supporting students with autismAble to stay awake and attentive throughout the entire shiftComfortable working as part of a teamOrganized and able to complete written documentationProfessional and respectful when working with students, families, and coworkersHigh school diploma, GED, or equivalent requiredNo college degree required.
