nThe Overnight Staff Pharmacist is responsible for the education and counseling of patients and filling of patient prescriptions. In addition, the Staff Pharmacist is responsible for training and managing staff pharmacy technicians and volunteer pharmacists, ensuring policies and protocols are followed in the absence of the Medical Director of Pharmacy and Supervising Pharmacist.
nAs part of the essential functions of this role, the Overnight Staff Pharmacist:
nnnFills patient prescriptions and answers provider questions.
n
nnProvides counseling on both prescription medications and over-the-counter medications in accordance to APhA guidelines
n
nnProvides exceptional customer service to all consumers
n
nnParticipates in quality improvement programs
n
nnAssists in medication ordering and maintenance of appropriate inventory controls within the pharmacy
n
n nQualified candidate will have a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD), a current and valid NYS Pharmacy license; community pharmacy experience preferred; awareness of and sensitivity to the issues and health disparities faced by underserved populations is essential
nJob type: Full-time; Mon-Thursday 10pm-8am, non-operating hours
nRequired Education : Doctor of Pharmacy
nRequired Experience: Community pharmacy experience preferred
nThis position is posted with a salary range. The actual rate of pay offered will be based on a variety of individualized factors, including but not limited to a candidate’s skills, relevant experience, educational background, internal equity, and market considerations.
