nSUMMARY OF POSITION:

nDiagnose and treat acute, episodic, or chronic illness, independently or as part of a healthcare team. May focus on health promotion and disease prevention. May order, perform, or interpret diagnostic tests such as lab work and x-rays. May prescribe.

nMINIMUM QUALIFICATION(S):

nnnGraduate of an AMA approved Physician Assistant Program or baccalaureate or higher degree program that meets licensure requirements in the State of Pennsylvania required.

nnNational Certification in Pennsylvania or in another State with reciprocity and licensure to practice in Pennsylvania required.

n

n nPREFERRED QUALIFICATION(S):

nnOne year of experience as an Advanced Practice Provider (APP) in an emergency department.
