Exciting Opportunity for Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant in the Vicinity of Purdys, NY

Position Details:

Job Title: Locum - PA - Emergency Medicine Physician Assistant

Shift Type: Varied (8a-8p, 11a-11p, 4p-4a)

Weekend Requirements: Yes

Licensing and Certification Requirements:

Medical License State: Active NY license and DEA required

Board Certification: Yes, board-eligible candidates accepted

Certifications: ACLS, BLS, PALS, ATLS (ATLS within 6 months of hire)

Shift Coverage and Additional Details:

Shift Coverage Model: APP (Advanced Practice Provider) with MD always present

Call Required: No

Weekend Required: Yes

Minimum Shifts per Month: 13, temp positions available

Facility Overview: We are a leading medical facility near Purdys, NY, with a Level 1 Adult and Pediatric Trauma Center. As the Regional Transfer Center for seven surrounding counties in three states, we pride ourselves on providing top-notch emergency care. Our Emergency Department handles a robust 50,000 annual patient volume with 45 beds, a separate Pediatric ED, and is equipped with state-of-the-art technology.

Candidate Requirements: We are seeking candidates with 3-4 years of Emergency Medicine experience, preferably with training in Critical Care or a Surgical Specialty. The ideal candidate should be comfortable managing multiple ICU-level patients in a high-acuity setting. A strong work ethic, collaborative spirit, and proficiency in BLS, ACLS, PALS, and ATLS are essential.

Duration: 4-6 months starting January 2022

Travel: Mileage/hotel only; flights not considered
