Neurology Physician Assistant Opportunity Near ORLAND, IN Job ID: j- Employment Type: Full Time Accepts J-1 Waivers: No Accepts H-1b Visas: No Overview: Join an established Neurology practice near Orland, IN, as a Neurology Physician Assistant. This is a rewarding permanent position where you will play a crucial role in providing primary care to patients with various neurology conditions. The practice focuses on cerebrovascular diseases, central and peripheral nervous system disorders, headache disorders, movement disorders, and seizures. The role involves working under the supervision of the clinic Physician to deliver high-quality care.

Position Details: Experience: While preference is given to candidates with 1-2 years of neurology experience, the practice is willing to provide training for the right candidate. This is an excellent opportunity for both experienced Neurology Physician Assistants and those looking to specialize in neurology.

Work Schedule: This is a full-time position with regular hours from Monday to Friday. Additionally, you will assist with on-call duties as required, contributing to the comprehensive care provided by the practice.

Qualifications:

Valid Indiana State Nursing License

Master's Degree in Nursing (Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant)

Board Certified

Key Responsibilities:

As a Neurology Physician Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

Conducting evaluations and examinations, identifying patient problems

Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests such as EMG, EEG, labs, and CNS diagnostic imaging

Making tentative diagnoses and decisions about patient management and treatment

Partnering with physicians to formulate a plan of care with patient involvement

Managing therapeutic regimes and modifying plans if necessary

Instructing and counseling patients on prescribed medications and health maintenance

Obtaining, compiling, and recording patient medical data electronically (Cerner)
