Packaging And Assembly OperatorLocation: Norcross, GAPay Rate: $20.00- $21.00/hrDuration: 3 months+Hours: 4:00am- 2:00pm, M- THPosition SummaryA dependable packaging and assembly operator who can provide accurate mathematical and assembly skills. Assist with the application of material onto products to complete orders. Must pay attention to details, as well as following instructions precisely, along with double-checking work before completing task. Responsible for the follow through of the up keep of the packing and assembly department in a clean and orderly condition.Essential DutiesAbility to use standard equipment such as basic hand toolsEnsure accurate count of completed tasksCommunicated with co-workers and managers to guarantee proper packing and assembly of products/materialAbility to interpret written instructions, assembly plans and be an active thinkerReport any quality issues or equipment defects to direct supervisorProficiency in creating and applying the correct labels on completed stock and materialMaintain housekeeping of packaging and assembly department to ensure a clean, orderly and hazard free environmentPerforms other related duties as assignedMinimum Knowledge And Skills RequiredMust be flexible and the ability to adopt to changes in the work placeHigh School Diploma or GED requiredProper execution of recycling used cardboardExceptional math skills to advise accurate count of piecesMust be willing to work individually or with a team in the warehouseGood physical conditionCapable of reading and reviewing pick slips along with assembly plans and instructionsPreferred Or Desired QualificationsFamiliar with safety standards for manufacturing environment, including OSHA regulationsFamiliar with Infor LN systemLicense and Certification to operate heavy machinery, such as ForkliftWorking Conditions And Physical DemandsPhysical Demands: Lifting and stacking cartons weighing up to 50 pounds Walking on concrete floor, standing for long periods of time Exposure to ambient temperaturesBenefits: (employee contribution) Health insurance Health savings account Dental insurance Vision insurance Flexible spending accounts Life insurance Retirement plan All qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to age, race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, disability, or status as a protected veteran.
