UPL also reinforces EEO through its Corporate Business Principles and Code of Business Conduct.Job SummaryThis position reports directly to the Shift Supervisor and is responsible for the accurate and efficient packaging of all products and materials.Job ResponsibilitiesTakes direction from the Packaging Operator/LeadOperate packaging equipment and forklift in a manner that promotes safety and complies with EHSQ requirementsTroubleshoot equipment malfunctions in the packaging areaReport any potential production or quality issues to the shift supervisor immediatelyAccurately determine packaging weights and variances for changing package sizesWork with the Packaging Operator/Lead to become proficient on all packaging equipmentEnsure all ISO paperwork is filled out accurately and filedPerform random inspections on final packaged products to ensure quality requirements are being metMaintain a clean, neat and orderly work areaAssume Packaging Operator/Lead job duties in their absenceMust adhere to all policies and procedures of UPL, NARequired QualificationsHighschool diploma or GED certificate required1 year experience in a manufacturing environment preferredAttention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipmentMeet all physical requirement of the positionDemonstrated ability to work as part of a team while having a strong focus on safetyKey CompetenciesFlexibility/Adaptability: Responds to the changing needs of the business and personally identifies and champions new ideas for improvement and growthOrganization/Project Management: Designs and maintains effective systems and processes for managing work and can plan and schedule work according to changing prioritiesRelationship Management: Maintains regular communication with team members and fosters an environment of teamworkCustomer Orientation: Determines and fulfills customers' needs and expectationsProblem Solving: Identifies root cause of a problem and works with others to permanently fix the issueCommunication: Speaks, writes, listens and presents information in an articulate and logical manner that is appropriate for the audience
