Packaging Associate/LaborerSanta Fe Springs, CaliforniaType: TemporaryManufacturing/ProductionSalary: $17 Per HourJob DescriptionPackaging Associate/LaborerEfficiently operate labeling machinery to produce labeled food packaging products within specifications.Job Duties Include:Operate Labeling line at a rate that meets or exceeds quality and production standards.Troubleshoot routine process problems without generating excessive label scrap.Maintain adequate supplies for all line equipment to ensure continual operation.Follow all Standard Operating Procedures, Safety Standards and Safe Work PracticesKnow locations of/operations emergency stop buttons and fire extinguishers in your area.Provide relief to other members of team as necessary.Complete required quality checks and production reports in an efficient and timely manner.Complete all production paperwork accurately.Ensure lot code information is printed accurately on every case produced.Follow line Run Rules. Obtain technical assistance when needed. Shut down the Labeler if a safety, quality, or scrap defect cannot be resolved in a timely manner.Assist in training other operators on the labeling process including but not restricted to production paperwork, safety/quality requirements and product changeovers.Other job duties as assigned by SupervisorMaintain work area in an organized, safe and clean manner.Requirements:Mathematical Skills: Ability to do simple math equations (add, subtract, multiply, divide, and percentages) and able to use calculatorMechanical Skills: Basic knowledge of machinery or process required. May be required to stop machine, shut off glue lines, clear jammed clamshellsComputer Skills: Ability to learn and use internal programs such as Insight, Maintenance Connection, etc.Education and/or Experience Requirements (Qualifications)Knowledge of 6S a plusMust be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.1st shift- $17.002nd shift- $18.003rd shift – $18.50*Training done on 1st shiftBG check- Drug Test- E-VerifySteel toes required.
