Job description

Packaging Line OperatorThe Packaging Line Operator is responsible for packaging production including boxing, labeling, and packaging of products. All other tasks as needed. This is a high paced job.Essential Functions/Job Duties:Maintain an organized, clean work areaHelp the line lead preparing set up and running each specific lineKnows all applicable Sanitation and Safety SOPsKnows MSDS and SOP book locationsKnows Product QA requirements for the areaKnows general company policies and handbook policiesKnows how to access computer tracking information, training informationAttends daily training classesCapable of performing at least 50% or more of the line leader responsibilitiesMaintain a positive attitude, know company policies and be willing to follow themKeeps production errors to a minimum and meet company standardsMaintains a productivity standard that meets company standardsMaintains excellent communication and relationships with other employees to foster team effortSeeks out new ways to improve productivityResponsible for food safetyWork safely by following all safety standard and proceduresCatch/bag the food, seal the bags, quality check the bags put in the packaging box, seal the box, put on a pallet, label pallet, and deliver to the wrapping stationAdditional duties may be assigned and/or requiredPersonal Qualifications:Must have a desire and willingness to learnMath skills requiredAbility to work as part of a team and maintain a positive attitudeAbility to adhere to schedule work hoursMaintain proper hygieneMust be able to understand and follow verbal and written directions in EnglishEducation Requirements:High School Diploma or EquivalentPhysical Requirements:Ability to physically stand, bend, squat, and lift up to 55 pounds regularlyAbility to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards, including meeting qualitative and/or quantitative productivity standards.Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.Company Overview:Our Mission is to become the most trusted ally for pet parents and a leading authority in pet health and wellbeing.
