Job description
Packaging Machine OperatorWe are looking for a dependable and detail-oriented Packaging Machine Operator to join our production team. In this role, you will operate and monitor automated packaging equipment, ensure product quality, and support efficient, safe production processes in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Key ResponsibilitiesOperate automated packaging machinery in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and safety guidelinesMaintain continuous production by supplying machines with materials and componentsPerform product changeovers and verify accuracy of bills of materialsTroubleshoot minor machine issues and escalate mechanical problems to maintenance as neededConduct routine quality checks and accurately complete production and shift documentationMaintain a clean, organized, and safe work area through daily housekeeping tasksTrack and record production data, inventory usage, and operational performanceCollaborate with team members, maintenance, and leadership to meet production goalsSupport additional packaging and production tasks as assignedWork overtime or weekends as needed and remain flexible with shift assignmentsRequirementsAbility to work both independently and as part of a teamStrong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality standardsAbility to understand and follow detailed written and verbal instructionsWillingness to train and qualify on multiple packaging machines and equipmentConsistent record of safety, attendance, and job performanceAbility to lift up to 40 lbsEffective communication skills across teams and departmentsQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPrior experience operating high-speed automated production or packaging equipment preferred
