At Shearer's Foods, we believe in a skills-first approach to recruitment and employment.Responsibilities:Running, changing over, efficiency and quality of 3-5 packaging machinesCommunicating changes and plans to team members in immediate area and supervisionSet up and operation of packaging equipmentFollowing precise recipes and work proceduresMonitoring and adjusting variables and performing product quality tests and data collectionReacting to direction from quality assurance and management personnelExposure to allergens, chemicals, extreme equipment and temperaturesMulti-tasking and prioritizing throughout the dayUse of hand toolsQualifications:Leadership and ability to work well with othersAbility to work through problems to find root causes and address issues for mechanical and automation equipment2-5 years machine operator or maintenance apprentice experience preferredBasic computer skills required to run productionEffective time managementFlexibility to work weekends and overtime when neededAbility to move, twist, or lift up to 60lbs and team lift 75 lbsSpecific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision and ability to adjust focusAbility to be on his/her feet for twelve (12+) hours, to keep up with a fast, repetitious pace and to do repetitious liftingWe are an equal opportunity employer, and all qualified applicants will receive consideration for employment without regard to race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity or expression, pregnancy, age, national origin, disability status, genetic information, protected veteran status, or any other characteristic protected by law.Pay Range: USD $20.50/Hr. - USD $22.50/Hr.
