Packaging Operator OpportunityLunds & Byerlys Mitchell Road is currently hiring for a self-directed and outgoing Packaging Operator to create a sensational shopping experience for our customers! This position works a full-time schedule and earns a competitive wage of $22.00-$30.00/hr.We operate 24 hours/day and 365 days/year. For this position we are looking for someone with availability around the hours of 6:00am-4:00pm.About This OpportunityThis is a new role at our facility in Eden Prairie. In this opportunity you will have the chance to take part in testing out new manufacturing operations here in the twin cities.Packaging Operator ResponsibilitiesOur Packaging Operators are responsible for a wide variety of tasks such as:Package finished food products according to specifications and daily production schedulesInspect product and packaging materials to ensure quality standards are metApply labels, date codes, and lot information accurately to packaged productsLoad, stack, and box finished product for storage or shipmentAssist with line setup, changeovers, and basic operation of packaging equipment as trainedFollow standard operating procedures, food safety guidelines, good manufacturing practices, and product specifications, including timely and accurate completion of required documentationMaintain a clean and sanitary work area by cleaning equipment, work surfaces, floors, and tools as neededOur Ideal Packaging OperatorTeam player - steps in to assist when and where as neededInnovative - implements trending and forward-thinking production solutionsDependable – comes to work on time and completes tasks in a timely and safe mannerHospitable - provides a friendly face, welcoming environment, and is appreciative of coworkersMinimum QualificationsEducation Required: Highschool diploma or equivalentDesired: food manufacturing, packaging, or production trainingLicensing/Certification Ability to obtain forklift certificationAbility to obtain food safety certificationExperience Preferred: one or more years of manufacturing, food production, packaging, or related experienceOther Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Ability to learn and safely operate assigned food manufacturing or packaging equipment with training and supervision.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, product specifications, and standard operating procedures.Ability to maintain cleanliness, organization, and attention to detail while handling food products and packaging materials.Ability to identify and report product, process, sanitation, safety, or equipment issues in a timely manner.Ability to follow all GMP, HACCP, food safety, sanitation, Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA), and company policies and procedures.Ability to work well as part of a team and communicate clearly with supervisors and coworkers.Ability to read and understand labels, production documents, and basic information required to complete records accurately.Basic reading, writing, and math skills to complete production tasks and documentation accurately.Ability to read, write, or speak in English and/or SpanishBenefits & PerksIn addition to competitive pay and our exceptional culture, we offer the following benefits and perks:Full Health, Dental, and Vision insurancePay on demandPTO (paid time off)Ongoing trainings, leadership development opportunities, and cross-training opportunities10% employee and family discountTuition reimbursement and scholarshipsFamily assistance fundProfit sharing and a 401(k)/pension optionCommunity and volunteer programsEmployee referral bonusFree uniform and uniform launderingChance to be nominated as a brand champion!Compensation DisclaimerThe actual rate of pay offered within the range may depend on several factors such as skills, knowledge, expertise, and experience.
