Collectively, we are stronger and more responsive, with a broader geographic footprint.OverviewOur manufacturing company needs a full-time Packaging Operator II to work on the packaging line to handle all finished goods. This position requires one to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining organization and all quality and safety policies. Packaging Operators must be able to utilize the packaging equipment efficiently, box the finished product and palletize the cases at the end of the packaging line. One must also be able to create Pallet ID's and utilize the correct lot coding system.Responsibilities & DutiesPerform hourly metal detector verification test to ensure the metal detector is working properlyComplete metal detector calibration log (300-F-017)Have the ability to operate the Lantech Case Erector and Case Sealer, BMG Bagger, MOTUS Cart Unloader and Mettler Toledo Metal DetectorCheck each product prior to packing for any visible non-conforming productNotify Shift Lead immediately if any product does not meet Tellus quality standardsHave the ability to understand and validate product lot codesHave the ability to utilize pallet tagging systems to accurately label all finished palletsMust be able to efficiently box productMust be able to efficiently palletizeMaintain a clean, organized and safe working area, abiding by GMP and SQF policiesKnow SAP material numbers to correctly identify productRecord all completed pallets for the shiftQualifications & SkillsMust be 18 years of ageHigh school diploma or GED requiredStrong interpersonal and communication skillsBe flexible, reliable and well organizedWork and disciplinary record will be consideredGood verbal, reading and writing skillsPhysically able to work in various positions, including, but not limited to: sitting, walking, climbing, kneeling, lifting, reaching and pullingMust be able to frequently lift 25 to 60 poundsThis position requires the flexibility to work Saturdays, Sundays and holidays, as needed based on business needsThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
