Packaging SupervisorFX Matt Brewery is a fast-paced, SQF-certified craft brewery producing its own family of brands alongside a diverse contract production portfolio. We are seeking a hands-on Packaging Supervisor to lead a skilled team of production, sanitation, and maintenance employees. This is a frontline leadership role with direct accountability for line efficiency, labor utilization, cost control, quality, and safety across all packaging operations — on every shift, every run.Lead packaging operations with a relentless focus on efficiency, loss control, and schedule execution — while building a high-performance team culture grounded in safety, quality, and continuous improvement in an SQF-certified environment.Operations & Schedule ExecutionDrive execution of the daily and weekly production schedule across all packaging linesContinuously monitor line performance; identify and resolve bottlenecks, downtime, and throughput issues in real timeLead daily shift meetings to align the team on priorities, safety topics, and production targetsCoordinate with maintenance staff to minimize unplanned downtime and support preventive maintenance executionEfficiency, Labor & Loss ControlTrack and optimize labor utilization across shifts; adjust staffing to match production demand and reduce overtime costsMonitor and reduce material loss and waste on packaging lines; investigate root causes and implement corrective actionsAnalyze production data and KPIs to identify efficiency gaps and drive measurable improvementsReport production results and variance explanations to brewery leadership on a timely basisSOP Development & Quality/Safety ComplianceLead the development, implementation, and ongoing maintenance of a robust SOP program for all packaging and sanitation operationsEnsure all operations comply with SQF certification standards, HACCP requirements, and internal quality protocolsChampion safety programs and OSHA compliance; enforce safe work practices across all shiftsFacilitate two-way communication between packaging employees and brewery leadership; promote a culture of accountability and continuous improvementSupport ongoing process improvement initiatives and drive a positive, change-ready team cultureQualifications:RequiredMinimum 7 years of supervisory experience in food and beverage or CPG manufacturingDemonstrated leadership in a high-speed, high-volume packaging or production environmentProven ability to manage labor efficiency, control costs, and drive line performance improvementsExperience developing and implementing SOPs in a regulated manufacturing settingStrong analytical, organizational, and communication skills; comfortable presenting to all levels of the organizationDetail-oriented with flexibility to work extended or off-shift hours as business demands requirePositive attitude and track record as a champion of change in a fast-paced environmentPreferredOSHA 10-Hour certification and/or HACCP certification a plusExperience in a brewery, winery, or beverage alcohol manufacturing environment a plusFamiliarity with SQF or other GFSI food safety certification standards a plusSalary Range: $50,000 - $70,000 DOE
