As one of North America's largest independent manufacturers of consumer products, KIK helps a large portfolio of brands and retailers bring their products to life.Your Role at KIKThe Packer 2 - 2nd Shift (1:00 pm – 9:30 pm with weekends per business need) ensures packaging, labeling, inspecting, and preparing pool chemical products for shipment are done while maintaining compliance with safety, quality and environmental standards. This position operates in a chemical manufacturing environment and requires adherence to Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), hazardous material handling procedures, and company safety policies. This is a position of trust on the production line.This position has a base starting hourly rate of $23.00 per hour. Shift differentials apply in addition to the base rate: $0.50 per hour for second shift and $1.00 per hour for third shift.What You'll DoExecute the packaging of pool chemical products into approved containers, including pails, buckets, bags, cartons, and other designated materials, ensuring compliance with established standardsPerform thorough inspections of products and packaging components to verify quality, accuracy, and the absence of defects throughout all phases of the packaging processApply labels, lot codes, date codes, and all required regulatory markings in strict accordance with product specifications and compliance requirementsConfirm the correct product, packaging materials, and quantities are utilized for each production run to maintain accuracy and operational integritySafely operate and monitor packaging equipment, including conveyors, palletizers, shrink-wrap machines, and labeling systems, in accordance with training and operational proceduresFully perform all job duties across the entire production line from beginning to end with minimal supervisionMonitor packaging lines for proper operation and report equipment malfunctions to supervisors or maintenance personnelStack, wrap, and prepare finished goods for warehouse storage or shipmentComplete production, quality, and inventory documentation accurately and in a timely mannerPerform line clearances and housekeeping activities to maintain a clean and organized work areaFollow all safety procedures regarding hazardous chemicals, personal protective equipment (PPE), lockout/tagout, and emergency responseParticipate in inventory counts and material reconciliation activities as assigned.Assist with changeovers, setup, and cleaning of packaging equipmentSupport continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and efficiencyPerforms other duties and assignments as directed by supervisorAssist other Dry B Operators as neededWhat You'll BringHigh school diploma or GED required.No minimum years of experience required. We train.Prior responsibility for inspecting, verifying, or signing off on work (Preferred).Manufacturing, packaging, warehouse, or production experience (Preferred).Chemical manufacturing experience(Preferred).Experience working to a written customer specification.Personal integrity and sound judgement — this role verifies product quality on behalf of our customers.Ability to work rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and respond to call-outs as required to support continuous manufacturing operations.Ability to safely wear required personal protective equipment for extended periods.Ability to perform basic math calculations and complete production records.Ability to follow written and verbal instructions, established procedures, work rules, and company standards.Strong attention to detail and quality.Ability to work safely around chemicals and manufacturing equipment.Must successfully pass all pre-employment requirements, including a functional capacity assessment and drug screening.Physical RequirementsAbility to stand and walk for extended periods during scheduled shifts.Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds frequently.Ability to bend, stoop, reach, climb stairs, and perform repetitive motions.Ability to work in varying temperatures, humidity levels, and manufacturing environments.Ability to wear required PPE for extended periods.What You Will GetKIK offers a competitive salary and comprehensive benefits including health, wellness, dental, vision, life, and disability insurance.
