Packer - Sewing - AshevilleAsheville Facility - Asheville, NC 28806OverviewLevel Entry Position Type Full Time Job Shift Day Education Level High School Category ManufacturingDescriptionPacker - Sewing - AshevilleReports to: Sr. Sewing SupervisorSupervises: N/ASummary Statement: Under the general supervision of the Sr. Sewing Supervisor, the person in this position packages various products following all established work and safety procedures.Essential Job FunctionsBuild boxes for product to be packaged.Prepare product for packaging as required for the product being packaged.Package product in boxes, assuring correct bundles are packaged.Label and seal boxes full boxes.Stage boxes on pallets.Marginal Job FunctionsAssist other personnel as time and knowledge permit.Participate in training and meetings as requested.Perform other duties as assigned.QualificationsWorking ConditionsMust be able to stand over a 10-hours period.Must be able to lift and carry a minimum of 25 pounds on a regular basis.Must be able to work both planned and unplanned overtime.Skills, Knowledge, and AbilitiesMust be able to work professionally as part of a team with other department employees.Must be able to comprehend and perform duties using established work and safety procedures.Must be able to work independently and be self-motivated.Must perform effectively under conditions of fluctuating workloads.Education and Work ExperienceOn-the-job training will be provided.ISO 5.3 Organizational Roles, Responsibilities and AuthoritiesIFB employees have the responsibility and authority to ensure to produce first-quality products that meet customer requirements.EEO StatementIn compliance with federal law, all persons hired will be required to verify identity and eligibility to work in the United States and to complete the required employment eligibility verification document form upon hire.
