Role Overview
Provides direct patient care in a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU), assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs according to nursing standards.
Key Responsibilities
Promotes patient and family-centered care, educating on illness management, post-treatment care, and medication administration.
Ensures patient safety, quality, and regulatory compliance while participating in professional development.
Develops and documents individualized care plans collaboratively with the healthcare team, patients, and families, ensuring clear communication across care settings.
Utilizes critical nursing skills to assess physical, psychosocial, and emotional needs, considering patient preferences, values, and cultural factors.
Qualifications & Skills
Licensed RN with a Nursing Diploma/Associate’s degree; Bachelor’s preferred with at least 2 years of experience.
Strong assessment, communication, and critical thinking skills.
Ability to work safely in a safety-sensitive environment, maintaining constant alertness.
Preferred Experience
PACU, ED, or ICU experience is advantageous.
