Overview
PACU Registered Nurse – Locum Tenens in Bloomington, Illinois. Advance your nursing career in a Cardiac Cath Lab Recovery Room, caring for cardiac and angio patients. Locum tenens assignment in Bloomington (61701) with a supportive environment and strong work-life balance.

Facility: Cardiac Cath Lab Recovery Room (5-bay recovery area)
Position Type: Locum tenens / travel nursing contract
Start Date: October 13, 2025
End Date: January 12, 2026
Assignment Length: 13 weeks
Weekly Hours: 36-40
Shift: 8 or 9-hour day shifts (4x9s); Call: one weeknight and every 4th weekend
Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours per week (excluding orientation)
Estimated Weekly Salary: $2820 - $2900
Qualifications
Active Illinois RN license
BLS certification (American Heart Association)
ACLS certification (American Heart Association)
Minimum 2-3 years of recent experience in Cardiac Cath Lab or PACU
Experience with Epic EMR and Pyxis medication systems preferred
Ability to pass a drug screen
Responsibilities
Admit and recover cardiac and angio patients, including outpatient TEE and cardioversion procedures
Work collaboratively with a second RN in the recovery room
Maintain a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1:2-3 in the PACU
Utilize Epic EMR for charting and Pyxis for medication management
Adhere to procedural protocols and wear provided scrubs
Participate in unit-specific training and orientation with a dedicated preceptor
No floating to other hospital departments
