Paid On-Call FirefighterThe City of Detroit Lakes is accepting applications for the position of Paid On-Call Firefighter. This position performs skilled and semi-skilled work in protecting life and property through fire suppression, rescue operations, and emergency response services within the City of Detroit Lakes and surrounding area. This is not a full-time position. Firefighters respond to calls as needed and participate in required training and department meetings.Job Requirements:Age 21 or olderHigh School diploma or GED equivalentValid Minnesota Class D Driver's LicenseMust live within 4 miles or an 8-minute drive time of the Detroit Lakes Fire Station (417 Main St. W., Detroit Lakes, MN 56501)Successfully pass a written exam, oral interview, physical exam, and physical agility testWage Information: $15.00 per hour while responding to calls or on standbyApplication Process: Submit your resume and employment application online at the City of Detroit Lakes website to be considered.
