n The Interventional Pain Medicine team is committed to delivering high-quality, patient-centered care for individuals experiencing complex and chronic pain conditions. Our providers utilize evidence-based practices, advanced minimally invasive technologies, and fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided techniques to provide comprehensive interventional pain management.n

n This is an excellent opportunity to join a collaborative team of physicians and advanced practice providers within one of the nation’s leading academic health systems.n

n Work/Life Balance:n n Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., with no weekends, nights, or call. Potential opportunity for extended workdays to accommodate a four-day workweek.n

n Generous PTO:n n PTO accrual begins at 25 days per year and may be used for vacation, illness, holidays, and personal time.n

n CME Support:n n Up to $2,500 in CME reimbursement plus five additional CME days annually.n

n Then n Interventional Pain Medicine service at Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptistn n is seeking a highly qualified and motivated NP or PA to join our innovative team at then n Brookstown Interventional Pain Center in Winston-Salemn n .n

n Our providers share a common mission of addressing the complexities of painful conditions while keeping quality patient care at the center of everything we do. The team utilizes cutting-edge, minimally invasive technology in conjunction with a variety of fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided techniques to provide patients with interventional options for managing pain.n

n We employ a comprehensive, multimodal approach to pain management with an emphasis on interventional strategies and non-opioid therapies, a vision shared across our service line and department.n

n What You’ll Don

n As a valued member of our healthcare team, the NP/PA will play an integral role in team-based patient care, including comprehensive examinations, evaluations, diagnosis, treatment planning, and ongoing management of patients with chronic and complex pain conditions.n

n The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, a commitment to patient education, and familiarity with areas including neurology, neurosurgery, spine medicine, orthopedics, and general medicine.n

n Utilize medical decision-making skills to develop appropriate, individualized patient care plans.n

n Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with chronic and complex pain conditions.n

n Collaborate with physicians, APPs, nurses, and other members of the healthcare team to provide effective team-based care.n

n Order and interpret laboratory studies and diagnostic procedures.n

n Educate patients regarding the necessity, preparation, nature, and anticipated outcomes of diagnostic and therapeutic procedures.n

n Perform procedural skills in accordance with departmental and practice guidelines.n

n Participate in follow-up care for surgical and interventional procedures.n

n Precept students and/or other medical learners as appropriate and encouraged.n

n The clinician will function in accordance with the regulatory requirements of their respective licensing organization—then n North Carolina Medical Boardn n orn n North Carolina Board of Nursingn n —and departmental-specific credentialing requirements of the institution.n

n Physician Assistant Qualificationsn

n Graduation from an accredited Physician Assistant program.n

n Master’s degree or higher required.n

n Current or eligible for North Carolina Medical Board licensure.n

n Current NCCPA certification.n

n BLS certification required.n

n Previous clinical experience preferred but not required.n

n Nurse Practitioner Qualificationsn

n Graduation from an accredited Nurse Practitioner master’s program.n

n Master’s degree or higher required.n

n Current or eligible for North Carolina Board of Nursing Registered Nurse and Nurse Practitioner licensure.n

n Board certification as a Family Nurse Practitioner through AANP or ANCC.n

n BLS certification required.n

n Previous clinical experience preferred but not required.n
