We are seeking an experienced, patient-focused, and highly motivated Pain Management Proceduralist who thrives in a collaborative, fast-paced environment and is passionate about restoring function and improving quality of life through evidence-based interventional pain management.
Job Summary The Pain Management Proceduralist is responsible for evaluating, diagnosing, and treating patients suffering from acute and chronic pain utilizing minimally invasive image-guided procedures. This physician will provide comprehensive interventional pain management while collaborating with referring physicians, advanced practice providers, nursing staff, physical therapy providers, and surgical specialists to develop individualized treatment plans.
The ideal candidate is fellowship-trained in Interventional Pain Medicine and possesses expertise in fluoroscopic and ultrasound-guided procedures involving the spine, peripheral nerves, and joints. This role includes outpatient clinic responsibilities, office-based procedures, and ambulatory surgery center (ASC) procedures while maintaining exceptional patient satisfaction and clinical outcomes.
Duties & Responsibilities Clinical Care Evaluate patients with acute and chronic pain conditions through comprehensive history and physical examinations.
Develop individualized treatment plans utilizing evidence-based pain management strategies.
Interpret diagnostic imaging including MRI, CT, X-rays, EMG/NCS, and ultrasound findings.
Determine procedural candidacy based on clinical findings and diagnostic evaluations.
Perform comprehensive neurological and musculoskeletal examinations.
Manage patients before, during, and after procedures.
Educate patients regarding diagnoses, treatment options, risks, benefits, and expected outcomes.
Maintain accurate and timely documentation within the electronic medical record.
Interventional Procedures Perform image-guided interventional pain procedures including but not limited to:
Spine Procedures Cervical, thoracic, and lumbar epidural steroid injections
Transforaminal epidural injections
Facet joint injections
Medial branch blocks
Radiofrequency ablation (RFA)
Sacroiliac joint injections
Discography (when appropriate)
Vertebral augmentation (preferred)
Neuromodulation Spinal Cord Stimulator (SCS) Trials
Permanent SCS Implantation
Dorsal Root Ganglion (DRG) stimulation
Peripheral Nerve Stimulators (PNS)
Intrathecal Pain Pump Trials
Intrathecal Pump Implantation and Management
Peripheral & Joint Procedures Large joint injections
Hip injections
Shoulder injections
Knee injections
Peripheral nerve blocks
Occipital nerve blocks
Genicular nerve blocks
Genicular RFA
Trigger point injections
Bursa injections
Ultrasound-guided musculoskeletal procedures
Regenerative Procedures (Preferred) Platelet Rich Plasma (PRP)
Bone marrow aspirate concentrate (BMAC)
Biologic therapies (where applicable)
Surgical Center Responsibilities Perform procedures safely within the ASC and Office-Based Lab (OBL).
Complete informed consent documentation.
Ensure compliance with procedural safety standards.
Work collaboratively with anesthesia providers, nurses, and surgical technicians.
Respond appropriately to procedural complications.
Participate in quality assurance and peer review initiatives.

Documentation & Compliance Complete documentation on the day of service.
Maintain compliance with CMS, Medicare, commercial payer, and Florida regulations.
Ensure accurate coding and procedure documentation.
Support quality reporting initiatives.
Maintain DEA registration and controlled substance compliance.
Leadership & Practice Growth Assist in developing interventional pain service lines.
Participate in physician education and community outreach.
Support marketing initiatives through educational presentations.
Mentor advanced practice providers and clinical staff.
Participate in protocol development and quality improvement initiatives.
Required Qualifications MD or DO degree
Board Certified or Board Eligible in Pain Medicine
Fellowship-trained in Interventional Pain Management
Active Florida Medical License (or ability to obtain)
DEA registration
BLS certification
ACLS certification
Hospital and ASC credentialing eligibility
Preferred Qualifications Experience with spinal cord stimulation implantation
Experience with intrathecal pain pumps
Experience with peripheral nerve stimulation
Ultrasound-guided injection expertise
Regenerative medicine experience
Experience in outpatient procedural settings
Strong referral network (preferred but not required)
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Excellent procedural skills under fluoroscopy and ultrasound guidance
