Part-Time Interventional Pain Physician - Mount Vernon, Illinois Position OverviewPermanent position
Part-time
Outpatient clinic
Monday-Friday, 8:00a-5:00p
No formal call schedule
After-hours handled via answering service with physician-to-physician consults
Training, Licensure & Board Requirements (High Priority)Board Certified or Truly Board Eligible - Required
Fellowship Trained in Interventional Pain Medicine
ACGME-accredited fellowship required
Acceptable Primary Training:
Anesthesiology
PM&R
Practice Setting & SupportMay work alongside:
Other physicians and/or APPs
RNs, LPNs, and MAs (varies by site)
All patients are chronic pain referrals
Not solely personal injury cases
Procedures & Clinical ExpectationsBread-and-butter interventional pain procedures
Common procedures include:
Medial Branch Blocks (MBB)
Radiofrequency Ablations (RFA)
Spinal cord stimulator trials
Open to discussing:
Procedures the physician does and does not perform to assess fit
While primarily interventional:
Medication management expected when clinically appropriate
Compensation & Contract Structure1099 position
Competitive compensation (discussed directly with client)
Two-year guarantee
After Year 2:
Transition to collections-based model
Collect 100% of professional fees minus direct expenses

Stipend toward health insurance expenses
Stipend toward CME and licensing expenses
