nPhoenix Customs is a 5-star custom fabrication and restoration shop in Mapleton, Utah. We mainly work on pre 80's non computerized cars. Although we do, do a fair share of LS and modern engine swaps. Our builds range from simple body repairs to ground up builds.
nWe are looking for a skilled Paint & Body Technician to maintain and repair vehicles. You will be responsible for priming, painting, cutting and buffing the cars in the shop. Also a plus would be some background in repairing dented panels with minimal filler, spreading and sanding body filler to get the cars ready for primer. Must be willing to learn new skills and to become well rounded in all aspects of body and paint work.
nResponsibilities:
nMask the cars up for priming
nSpray primers and base/clear paints
nColor sand and buff the final paint jobs for a show quality finish
nBlack sand primers and filler to make the cars straight
nBe able to align sheet metal
nMetal straighten dented panels with minimal filler
nReassemble complete vehicles
nKeep logs of the work performed daily and any issues
nMaintain equipment and tools in good condition
nPay is dependent on experience
nQualifications:
nProven 5+ years of experience as a paint & body technician
nMust have own tools
nMust be able to lift 50+ lbs
nMust be willing to learn new skills that apply to full restorations
