By joining forces with leading playground equipment manufacturer Landscape Structures Inc., Aquatix will apply the ground-breaking design and innovation they are known for to the creation of imaginative new water experiences.The essence of the Paint Prep Technician's role is to prepare all pieces and products for paint while keeping a high-quality standard.ValuesInnovationCommitment & PassionIntegrityTeam & RelationshipsDuties and ResponsibilitiesPrepares products by doing light bodywork, sanding, blocking, filing, and primingAssists Lead Painter in preparing products for paintPlaces products for painting on movable platformsMoves and stages painted products in the drying roomResponsible for overseeing paint and prep material inventoryKeeps work area clean and organizedCommunicate ideas and issues in a timely manner.Ensure high-quality standards.Work in a team-orientated manner.Inspect refurbished materials, assess conditions, and make recommendations for future improvements.AttributesAble to prepare products for paint application.Able to stand and prep all parts for extended times throughout the shift.Able to sand and finish the product before painting.Qualifications1+ years experience requiredPrevious experience in auto body paint preparation is preferred.Basic computer knowledge.Experienced with hand tools and sanding devices.Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.The target hourly range is $22.00 - $27.00, depending upon qualifications and experience. The posted pay range reflects the expected compensation for a fully qualified candidate. Starting pay may be above or below this range based on job-related factors such as skills, experience, qualifications, and training needs.In addition to hourly pay, the compensation package also includes eligibility for profit-sharing and monthly bonus opportunity.
