Paint UtilityThe Paint Utility position requires hanging unpainted parts on racks for the coating process, unloading coated parts and assisting in the packaging process. This position also requires reading prints, claiming, tracking, tagging correct parts along with masking and plugging tasks in accordance with part specifications.The job offers competitive salary & incentive program and a comprehensive benefit package, including medical, dental, vision plan options, employer funded basic life and short-term disability insurance, paid vacation & holidays, and 401(k) with employer match.Responsibilities include performing primary cleaning operations by using air to blow abrasive media from blasted parts, gathering parts from blaster, pulling parts from oven, cross training on everything, helping wherever needed, understanding and adhering to ISO regulations, maintaining market and customer data, and interacting professionally and effectively with Sales, Engineering, and Production staffs.Safety requirements and physical demands include sitting, standing, and walking for extended periods of time, reading, seeing, hearing, and speaking English, frequent physical exertion, lifting, pushing, pulling, and carrying up to 50 pounds, operating crane and forklift, exposure to dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, and loud noises, limited exposure to outdoor elements, using tools including basic hand tools, saws, grinders, mills, lathes, electrostatic paint gun, powder gun, wearing Personal Protection Equipment (PPE) including gloves, safety glasses, ear protection and steel-toed boots, giving full attention to all tasks, following all safety policies/practices/guidelines, identifying hazards and unusual circumstances, participating in safety training programs, asking questions, sharing and applying learning, and requesting help if needed to do all work safely.Job requirements include a high school diploma or General Education Degree (GED), related experience preferred, ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos, ability to effectively communicate/present information in a one-on-one and small group situation to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization, ability to work independently with limited supervision, ability to foster a positive team environment, flexibility in working hours as required by workload and communication demands, ability to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, ability to read and understand blueprints/technical drawings, ability to pay attention to detail, and ability to learn quickly.
