Painter 1st ShiftFull-time Position Type: Permanent Shift: 1st ShiftJob DescriptionPay: $18-20Duties And Responsibilities:Painters are responsible for all aspects of painting metal, including set up, operation, inspection, and material handling activities. Painters are expected to work in a safe, productive and cooperative manner in accordance with Cornerstone Building Brands policies and procedures.Quality Control: Inspecting paint finishes to ensure adherence to quality standards.Equipment Maintenance: Cleaning and maintaining spray painting equipment.Safety: Following safety procedures and wearing appropriate protective gear.Material Management: Mixing, matching, and managing inventory of paints, solvents, and other materials.Production Processes: Understanding and following manufacturing specifications and processes.Problem Solving: Identifying and addressing issues related to the painting process.Inventory Control: Tracking daily usage of paints, thinners, and other solvents.Paint Application: Applying paint, varnish, or other finishes using spray guns, brushes, rollers, or other tools.Additional Duties: Complete all tasks as assigned by department leadershipQualificationsPrevious manufacturing and/or painting experience preferredMust be able to read, write and perform basic math skills as job duties requireMust possess common sense, positive attitude, and demonstrate excellent attendanceMust be quality and safety conscious, a team playerAbility to lift up to 50 pounds on a continual basisMust have good verbal and written communication skills and be able to interact with peopleExtensive standing, frequent bending, sitting, lifting, pulling, pushing, reaching, twisting and walkingRequired personal protective equipment, overhead crane, carts, dollies and some hand toolsSafe work performance is required from each Associate at all timesAdditional InformationSite Address: 101 W South St, Monticello, IA 52310All your information will be kept confidential according to EEO guidelines.Why work for Cornerstone Building Brands?Our teams are at the heart of our purpose to positively contribute to the communities where we live, work and play.
