Job TitleThe Painter works in the paint shop and sandblast area taking care of heavy equipment in a manner that reflects the company's vision of working as "One Professional Team."Pay Rate: $21.00 - $26.68 per hour Pay rate is dependent upon education & experience. **Some mechanical and/or painting experience is a plus.Essential Functions:Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.Fills out paint sheets at end of dayUses SIS web and DBS to order machine films and decalsUses DBS to access work order informationStocks paint and suppliesOrders paint and decalsQuotes paint work with help of manager to other departments of Wagner Equipment Co.Operates heavy equipment for movement around yardPaints application using synthetic enamels, acrylic enamels, urethanes, and carc coatingUses 2 quart cups and sprayer, airless sprayer, sanders, drills, auto body equipment, and mechanical toolsMaintains toolingApplies films and decalsSandblasts and paints equipmentSandblasts, preps, sands, tapes, paints, and decals heavy machines, trucks, and trailersUses auto body techniques, bondo, fiberglass, and SMC plastic repairChecks inventory of paint and suppliesSand blasts, preps, sands, tapes, paints, and decals heavy machines, trucks, and trailersOther duties as assigned by managerRequired Education and Experience:High School Diploma or GEDSome college or trade school preferred1+ years customer service1+ years auto body/paintPhysical Demands & Competencies:Standing, walking, talking, sitting, use of hands & hearingAbility to ascend/descend ladders, stairs, etc.Heavy work that includes lifting and/or moving objects up to 100 pounds or moreData Entry, telephone, reading/writing, reasoning, organizational, communication & math skillsSafety & Product KnowledgeWork Environment:Noise: LoudIndoors and OutdoorsMay be exposed to paint fumes/dustOther Duties:Job Offers are contingent upon all required pre-employment screenings which may include but are not limited to background checks, drug/alcohol testing, fit for duty testing, and any other job-related tests/screenings.Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
