Job TitleShift: 1st Shift & 3rd ShiftJob OverviewCoatings/painting large structures to exact specificationsEssential Duties/Skills/ResponsibilitiesMust be able to mix Epoxy and MacropoxyMust perform Reasonable Expectations (RE)-Permitted 10% over as indicted per chartMust be able to visual inspect the following equipment:LaddersHarnessesMust be able to clean and visual inspect the following equipment:Paint LinesSpray GunsMust be able to perform the following task with zero (0) defects:Internal – VoidsExternal – Bottoms, Stencil, Safety Stripe, and Deck FittingsMust be able to operate the following equipment:Allegro fansAir hornsMixerPaint pumpWet film thickness gaugeAssist person spraying outside of bargePerform all brush, roll and mitting tasksSkill FactorsMust be able to follow simple written and verbal directions in order to mix the paint properly and on a timely basisMust be physically able to lift 50 poundsMust be able to wear a full face respiratorMust be able to distinguish between hazardous and non-hazardous wasteMust be knowledgeable of and use proper personal protective equipmentMust be trained in confined space entry rules and regulationsMust be aware of proper testing for oxygen levels and LEL benchmarks before entering confined space to spray paintMust be knowledgeable of proper ventilation techniques using air horns and exhaust fansMust be knowledgeable of explosion proof requirements of all equipment in the paint buildingWork ConditionsEnvironment is that of a heavy industrial worksiteOutdoor elements are a factor. Extreme weather conditions such as heat and cold.Exposure to air particles, such as dust and chemicalsExposure to loud, penetrating noises in some work areasProper personal protective equipment is required at all times such as, metatarsal boots, ear plugs/ear muffs, safety glasses, long sleeved shirts and pants, hard hats and respirator useThis is a safety-sensitive position. A safety sensitive job or position is where the employee holding the position has, at any time during his or her employment, the responsibility for his or her own safety or the safety of othersEducation/ExperienceHigh school diploma or GED equivalent preferred; however it is not requiredPrevious work experience in a heavy industrial or construction environment is preferred; however, it is not a requirement
