Skilled Drywaller / Painter
Location: Milwaukee / Wauwatosa, WI Job Type: Full-Time
Job Summary
Our client is seeking a Skilled Drywaller/Painter to join their team. This role focuses on installing drywall, finishing surfaces, and completing painting work for residential and commercial restoration projects.
Key Responsibilities
Measure, cut, install, and finish drywall panels
Tape, sand, and apply compounds to create smooth, even surfaces
Perform plastering, texturing, and surface preparation
Apply primer, paint, and coatings using brushes, rollers, or spray equipment
Read and interpret blueprints and project specifications
Complete trim carpentry, caulking, and minor installation work as needed
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
Collaborate with other trades to complete projects efficiently
Qualifications
Experience with drywall installation, finishing, and painting
Ability to read blueprints and construction drawings
Basic math and measurement skills
Proficiency with hand tools and power equipment
Knowledge of construction site safety practices
Additional trade skills (carpentry, handyman experience, etc.) are a plus
Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred
Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
Ability to lift up to 65 lbs and work on your feet for extended periods
Flexibility to work occasional evenings, weekends, or on-call rotations
